Public Procurement Bureau is formed as a state authority without a legal entity within the Ministry of Finance which cares for the public procurement system and implementation of the law on public procurement.

With a decision on establishing working groups for preparation of the National Program for the Adoption of the Law of the EU and preparation of negotiating positions for negotiations on EU membership, Public Procurement Bureau was appointed as the managing institution of the Working Group for Chapter 3.05 Public procurement.

The good experiences with education in public procurement resulted in mandatory certification in each contracting authority in the public sector in order to strengthen the administrative capacity and knowledge of individuals working in public procurement.

Establishment of the Public Procurement Council – a new body within the Public Procurement Bureau.
